In Case of Emergency

Jack location, usage, and storage are illustrated on the label affixed to the spare tire cover in the trunk.

Carefully follow the prescribed precautions and instructions listed in your Dodge Owner's Manual whenever you raise or lower the car.

CAUTION: Only raise your Shelby Lancer by the jack mount extensions located behind the side sills. Do not use the jack on plastic body pieces, as damage will occur.

If your car is disabled and require towing, do not use a "sling type" system. This will cause damage to the front air dam or rear skirt. Shelby Automobiles recommends that a flat bed or wheel lift equipment be used should your Shelby require towing. Please refer to your Dodge Owner's Manual for further towing instructions.

Maintenance

The service interval recommended for engine oil change is every 7,500 miles or 6 months, whichever occurs first. The oil filter should be changed with every second oil change. All other system maintenance should be done as recommended by your Dodge Owner's Manual.

The correct selection of engine oil is critical to insure best performance and maximum protection of all engine components requiring lubrication. Your Lancer was originally equipped with Mobil 1 5W30 motor oil. Shelby Auto-

mobiles recommends when the oil is changed, you select oil according to the following:

  1. For warm climate conditions the engine oil recommendation is Mobile 1 15W-50, or a petroleum product with the same grade and with an API rating of SF/CD or SF/CC.
  2. For cold climate conditions the engine oil recommendation is Mobile 1 5W-30, or a petroleum product with the same grade and with an API rating of SF/CD or SF/CC.

NOTE: Mobil 1 is a synthetic lubricant. Use of lubricants other than Mobil 1 will not voice Shelby Automobiles Limited Warranties. Consult your 1987 Dodge Owner's mannual for further information concerning engine oil selection.
