Maintenance

Maintenance Schedules

The maintenance service interval recommended for engine oil and engine oil filter change is every 5,000 miles. All other system maintenance should be done as recommended and according to the Dodge Owner's Manual.

Engine Oil Selection

The selection of engine oil is critical to insure best performance and maximum protection of all engine components requiring lubrication. Your Shelby CSX was originally equipped with Mobil 5W30 motor oil. Perform all future oil changes according to the following:

1. For warm climate conditions the engine oil recommendation is Mobile 1 15W-50, or a petroleum product with the same grade and with an API rating of SF/CD or SF/CC.
2. For cold climate conditions the engine oil recommendation is Mobile 1 5W-30, or a petroleum product with the same grade and with an API rating of SF/CD or SF/CC.

Mobil 1 is a synthetic lubricant. Use of lubricants other than Mobil 1 will not void Shelby Automobiles Limited Warranties. Consult Owner's Manual for further information concerning engine oil selection.

Engine Oil Filter Selection

The recommended oil filter selection for use on your CSX is Chrysler part number 4105409.
