Who is the Warrantor

Shelby Automobiles, Inc. is the warrantor with respect to those parts, listed above, which have been modified by Shelby Automobiles, Inc. Chrysler Motors Corp. is the warrantor with respect to all other, unmodified parts of the car (except tires).

What the Warrantor will do

Shelby Automobiles, Inc. had entered into an agreement with Chrysler Motors Corp. which will allow Chrysler Motors Corp. to repair or replace, under this warranty or under the Chrysler Motors Corp. NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY which accompanies this vehicle all Chrysler Motors Corp. or Shelby Automobiles, Inc. parts and equipment which prove defective in workmanship or material in normal use during the warranty period. It is not necessary for the Owner to determine whether Shelby Automobiles, Inc. or Chrysler Motors Corp. is responsible for the part to obtain service.

What should the Owner do to get Warranty Repairs

Take the vehicle to any Chrysler Motors Corp. Dealer. Shelby Automobiles, Inc. strongly recommends that you return the vehicle to your selling Shelby Automobiles, Inc. dealer, as delays in obtaining special Shelby Automobiles, Inc. parts may otherwise result.

Informal Dispute Settlement

If a dispute regarding this warranty has not been resolved to your satisfaction, you may submit the issue to the Chrysler Motors Corp. Customer Arbitration Board. The case must be submitted to the Board before action under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act can be taken. However, you may not need to resort to the Board to pursue some State-created rights or other rights. Information about the procedure for using this mechanism is contained in the Customer Arbitration Board Brochure and the address of the Board serving your area is found on pages 6 and 7 of that brochure.


Other Terms

This warranty give you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from State to State.

THIS WARRANTY IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY MADE BY SHELBY AUTOMOBILES, INC. APPLICABLE TO THIS VEHICLE. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE APPLIABLE TO THIS VEHICLE IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY. SHELBY AUTOMOBILES, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR COMMERCIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM BREACH OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY.

Statement of Owner's Rights and Obligations

What is covered by the Warranty

If a part originally installed by Shelby Automobiles, Inc. or Chrysler Motors Corp. and listed on the warranty parts list fails because of a defect, Shelby Automobiles, Inc. will repair or replace it at an authorized Shelby Automobiles, Inc. dealer. Any other parts damaged by the failure of a defective part will also be repaired or replaced. The repair or replacement described above will be made at no charge to the owner of the vehicle. For emergency situations, see the instructions set forth under Emergency Service.

How long does the Warranty last

The warranty shall apply until the first replacement or severe service maintenance point specified by Shelby Automobiles, Inc. for any part listed on the warranted parts list. Where no replacement point is specified, the warranty shall apply for the warranty period specified on the warranted parts list (either 12 months or 12,000 miles, or 7 years or 70,000 miles depending on the parts). If a part is not defective, but is replaced before the replacement point, the warranty ends. THIS WARRANTY BEGINS ON THE DATE THE VEHICLE IS SOLD TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER OR THE DATE THE VEHICLE IS FIRST PLACED IN SERVICE OR ORIGINAL USE, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST.

What the owner must do

It is the owners's obligation to properly maintain and use the vehicle in accordance with Shelby Automobiles, Inc.'s written instructions. Warranty will not be denied solely because there is no record of maintenance. However, failures caused by lack of maintenance are not covered by the warranty.
